Terms of service
Last updated August 20, 2026. These terms cover the Pilot Computer study tool. By using it, you agree to them.
1. Acceptance
These Terms govern your access to Pilot Computer's websites and study tool. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.
2. Service
Pilot Computer is an educational study aid for Private Pilot Airplane oral practice. The current product accepts typed answers, asks authored questions and follow-ups, and generates categorical readouts tied to ACS identifiers and cited sources.
The authored bank covers all ASEL-applicable oral Knowledge and Risk Management tasks for Private Pilot Airplane. Examiner grading accuracy is still under external CFI review and is not claimed as calibrated.
Features may fail, change, or be removed without notice. We may limit access.
3. Accounts & Eligibility
You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the service with a parent or guardian's involvement.
Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials private, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Accounts are for individual use and may not be transferred or shared.
4. Access & Fees
One short oral does not require an account. After that sitting you can unlock the full ACS readout, citations, drills, and additional orals. There is no recurring membership.
What unlocking includes is shown on the unlock path after a sitting. Charges are processed by Stripe.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share, sell, or transfer your account.
- Scrape or extract questions, rubrics, citations, or other service content by automated means.
- Reverse engineer or interfere with the service, authentication, rate limits, or security controls except where applicable law permits it.
- Submit unlawful, infringing, malicious, or sensitive personal content.
- Use the service for an unlawful purpose.
6. Your Content
Your Content means the typed answers, contact messages, feedback, and other material you submit. You retain ownership of it.
You give Pilot Computer a non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and analyze Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the service. You are responsible for having the right to submit it.
Personal-information handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
Pilot Computer's software, authored question bank, rubrics, product design, text, name, and logo are owned by Pilot Computer or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, revocable right to use the service for non-commercial study.
FAA publications, regulations, the ACS, and other cited materials belong to their respective publishers. Referencing them does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
8. Educational Disclaimer
Pilot Computer is a study aid, not flight training. It does not provide instruction, endorsements, certification, or an FAA practical test and does not certify checkride readiness.
Pilot Computer is not affiliated with, approved by, sponsored by, or appointed by the FAA. The AI examiner is a study tool, not a Designated Pilot Examiner, CFI, or FAA representative.
AI-generated questions, follow-ups, ratings, and explanations can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsafe. Verify aviation information with current official sources and your CFI. Do not use Pilot Computer for an operational flight decision.
9. Warranty Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pilot Computer disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or improve any test result.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pilot Computer and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Pilot Computer's total liability for a claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
11. Suspension & Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access to protect users or the service, comply with law, respond to abuse, or operate the service. Account and content retention after termination follows the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product changes. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when a material change requires it. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Applicable Rights
These Terms do not waive consumer, privacy, or other rights that cannot be waived under laws that apply to you.
14. Contact
